How to illuminate a windowless room with LED light

Lighting up a room without windows does not necessarily have to scare you, today there are many solutions to do it and lighting will certainly satisfy your needs.

Whether the windowless room is a basement, a bathroom, a guest room, a study or a cellar, it may seem that without windows, something is missing.
Natural light is not necessary to create a livable space, but the right LED lighting scheme is enough.

The key is to use a variety of different light sources to create the light you need and overlay the lighting to create a sense of space and airiness.

How much light do you need in a windowless room?

The exact level of light needed in a room depends on a number of factors, including the size and shape of the room, the use to which it is put, and the type of environment you want to create.

You can calculate the basic light level (or lumens) you need using a handy formula.
As a rule of thumb, a living room or bedroom normally needs about 10-20 lumens per square foot, while a bathroom or kitchen requires about 70-80 lumens.
To calculate the lumens needed, simply multiply the square footage of the room by this figure.

Choosing lighting fixtures in a windowless room

To brighten the space and create a comfortable atmosphere, you need to choose LED lighting fixtures designed for this purpose.

The first thing to consider is the bulb. There are different types of bulbs, but the most popular is the LED bulb.

The led lights for the home have many advantages over traditional bulbs, including long life and low energy consumption. They are also very easy to install and come in a wide variety of styles and colors.

It is also important to consider the color of the bulbs used.
If you want to create a relaxing atmosphere in your windowless room, then you should choose warm white or yellow window bulbs.

On the other hand, if you want something brighter and more energetic, then blue or green bulbs are more suitable for your needs!

LED strips are a great idea for lighting a room without windows, especially if you want to keep the overall project cost down.
Because they are so thin and flexible, LED strips can be attached to any surface in the room, including the wall or ceiling, and then bent around corners or inserted into grooves that run along the edge of the ceiling.
