Lighting for public areas is a very important topic if you want to make a city usable and always accessible at any time of day. Not only the green areas but every corner accessible to citizens must always be properly illuminated and doing so with LEDs has several advantages for both citizens and the public administration. Having always a good visibility will invite people to spend more time in parks and squares, improving in general the appearance of various places in the city. Let’s see in this article, why led technology is the most suitable in this context.

How to illuminate public areas

The LED lighting is very powerful and durable, in fact, comes up to 150,000 hours of autonomy, also the light can be modulated according to various needs for both intensity and color rendering.

The solutions are different and really adaptable to any context, we have for example spotlights of different sizes positioned at different heights and directional points where needed. Or, for illumination of squares with fountains and monuments, the ideal are spotlights to be embedded in the ground, or again for trees and vegetation large enough, valid options are frontal light points that illuminate in a suggestive way creating games between light and shadow. Finally, among the various applications we remember the LED lighting for parking lots, which can be installed in a discreet manner in the form of large streetlights with a wide radius that make safe an important place such as the parking of cars, very busy at all times of day and night.

Advantages of led lighting

Among the various advantages of this technology that is gaining more and more popularity, certainly energy saving is the fundamental one, in the face of versatility and efficiency. The reduced energy consumption translates for the administration in a considerable saving without sacrificing the quality of lighting, the LEDs in fact make clear every obstacle constituting an important measure for safety.

Compared to traditional lamps, LEDs are able to upgrade the urban area because aesthetically they offer a much more modern and pleasant overall picture. Another important aspect is the absence of maintenance, in fact, as already specified, the LED lamps reach and exceed 150,000 hours, or about 30 years without the need to be replaced. Inserted in any context, the LED lights can be modified with regard to color temperature, or the shade of light.

This allows you to have, depending on the various effects you want to achieve, cold or warm light. According to several studies, this technology is able to illuminate perfectly allowing drivers to identify any obstacle with ease and for this reason it is a safe choice that decreases accidents but also protects urban areas from vandalism.
